2 year old's
We have two 2-year-old classes, grouped by birthday. Our younger 2’s class has a 1:8 ratio, and the older 2’s class offers a 1:10 teacher-to-child ratio. No need to be potty trained as we accept children in diapers and will assist with potty training.
We focus on cognitive development as personal curiosity grows. Children at this age typically begin to imitate play with others as well as start to socialize more with children their own age. They are very egocentric as well, so learning to share begins here. The teacher guides the children through learning about routines and working in small groups. Activities include art, music, constructing, new vocabulary, basic alphabet, number activities, and learning to recognize their names.
We encourage all of our kids to read! We start early by using picture books and a comfortable environment to encourage this lifelong skill.
We use lots of tactile toys and activities in order to engage the kids.
